The University of Findlay - Sherri Garner Brumbaugh

Sherri Garner Brumbaugh is the president of Garner Transportation Group, located in Findlay, Ohio, which provides transportation, warehousing and logistics services throughout the Midwest.

The daughter of founders Vernon and Jean Garner, Brumbaugh earned a bachelor’s degree in music education from The Ohio State University and a master’s degree in education from Bowling Green State University.

She taught music for five years at Hopewell-Loudon Local Schools before becoming involved with the family business. Her father passed away in 2007, and in 2008, she was named president of Garner Transportation. An alumna of the Hancock Leadership program, Brumbaugh serves on The Community Foundation Board of Trustees and is a member of the Hancock County Revolving Loan Fund county committee. She also recently was named by the Hancock County Commissioners to serve on the economic development task force. On Oct. 14, 2010, she received the “Athena” Small Business Award, sponsored by the Findlay Publishing Co. and the Findlay/Hancock County Chamber of Commerce. She and her husband, Jerry, are the parents of three sons.
