Welcome

Donald W. Stansloski, R. Ph., Ph. D., Dean of the School of Pharmacy
You have chosen a great time to consider a career in pharmacy.  The rapid growth of the health care and pharmaceutical industries, especially the growing elderly population, has led to a large demand for pharmacists.  In any given week, most US adults take at least 1 medication, and many take multiple medications.  You will have the opportunity to touch the lives of countless patients.

As a pharmacist you will care for patients, often by giving medication to patients according to medical orders.  But, the Doctor of Pharmacy has added new duties to the profession.  Modern pharmacists are responsible for the entire drug control process.  This may require control of drug inventories, selection of drug products or working with prescribers in picking drug therapy for patients.  Monitoring of drug therapy for adverse reactions or drug interactions are common activities of pharmacists.  For more information please contact Dr. Donald Stansloski, Dean of the College of Pharmacy by phone at 419 434 5327 or  email at pharmacy@findlay.edu.
