UF Kake Bridge Program
Program Description - This program is a cultural exchange to Japan where students will receive survival-level Japanese language and cultural training prior to departure and then take part in a 3 – 4 week exploration of the country.

Rakuno Gakuen University Pre-Vet Study Tour
Program Description - Students participate in hands-on learning activities in veterinary medicine, dairy science, and environmental systems at Rakuno Gakuen University.  Students also get to learn about the cultural traditions of Japan.                           
Eligibility Requirements - Full-time Pre-Vet/Animal Science majors
Program Dates- Mid May - Early June, 2012

UF India Study Abroad, Chennai
Program Description - Experience education, networking, collaboration, and a resume builder in Chennai, India.  Students will visit businesses, educational institutions, governmental agencies and also places of tourist interest.  This 10-day trip includes site-seeing in Chennai and other close by towns and villages.  Breakfast and dinner on weekdays are included and there is optional course credit available.

Summer Mexico Study Abroad
Program Description - The Spanish program has developed a summer study abroad program at Universidad Internacional (http://www.uninter.edu.mx) in Cuernavaca, Mexico.  Students will be housed with Mexican families and will study Spanish at the university.  The program is intended for students who want to take one 3 credit hour Spanish course at any level (beginning, intermediate and advanced).

Summer English Camp in Korea (Chinju National University of Education)
Program Description - This program allows UF graduates interested in teaching children the opportunity to go overseas and teach in our affiliate university’s intensive summer English camp.    
Eligibility Requirements - Graduating English/TESOL/Education majors
Program Dates- Late July – Mid August
Application Deadline - April 1, 2012
Approximate Cost - Teachers are paid at the conclusion of the program (approximately $2,600), but must pay airfare costs upfront (approximately $1,600).

TESOL/SPANISH MAJORS
Those majoring in TESOL/Spanish are required to complete a semester of an immersion program. TESOL/Spanish Major Internship at the Centro Peruano Norteamericano in Trujillo, Peru.  Mexico Study Abroad Program at Universidad Internacional in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. There are also opportunities working with migrant workers in the U.S.

TESOL/JAPANESE MAJORS
Students majoring in TESOL/Japanese are encouraged to participate in one of the following programs.  1. Daito Bunka University student exchange program  2. Naomi English School in Kumamoto, Japan (paid one-semester internship)  3. Hop, Step, Jump Language School in Gifu, Japan (paid one-semester internship)  4. Sannoh Company in Ibaraki, Japan (paid semester or year internship)
