Facility Rules & Regulations

In an effort to maintain a safe, clean and pleasant environment at the Cardio Center, the following rules and regulations have been established and will be enforced for the enjoyment of all patrons. The use of the Cardio Center is a privilege, proper behavior is required at all times while using the facility.

  • ALL STUDENTS (Undergraduate and Graduate) MUST HAVE A "VALID" UF ID TO GAIN ENTRANCE INTO THE CENTER--NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • The Cardio Center is only available for students, faculty, staff, board of trustee members---faculty/staff and board of trustee member's spouses are permitted to use the center.
  • Faculty/staff's children between the ages of 16-18 will be permitted to use the Cardio Center and must be accompanied by an adult at all times—children under the age of 16 will not be able to use the facility.
  • A current UF photo ID is required to gain entrance into the Cardio Center.
  • Proper work-out attire is required (i.e., t-shirt, shorts, sweat pants, gym shoes, etc.) – no jeans, street/dress shoes, bare feet, sandals, spikes or cleats.
  • NO food or drink is permitted in the Cardio Center at any time—Except Water Bottles.
  • The University of Findlay is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items brought into the Cardio Center by patrons.
  • Lockers that have locks left on them at 11:00pm each night will have their locks cut off and the items removed from the lockers.
  • Please be considerate of those using the equipment after you, wipe machines down with the towels that are provided by the Cardio Center Staff.
  • Smoking and/or use of any type of smokeless tobacco are not permitted anywhere in the Cardio Center.
  • Patrons exercise at their own risk. Each individual is responsible for his/her own safety. All emergencies or injuries must be reported to the staff on duty.
  • The staff of the Cardio Center reserves the right to limit the allowable time of any piece of equipment in the center.
  • Radios and tape or CD players are not permitted, unless they are personal units---Walkmans---equipped with headphones.
  • Anyone caught abusing, damaging, or using the Cardio Center equipment in an unsafe manner will lose their workout privileges immediately.
  • Loitering is not permitted in the lobby or in the Cardio Center at anytime.
  • No running or horseplay is permitted in the lobby or in the Cardio Center.
